Free, Confidential Help When You Need It
The Employee Assistance Program, administered by Carelon Wellbeing, is free, confidential, and automatically part of your benefits — you and everyone in your household can use it whether or not you’re enrolled in an LSC Medical Plan.
- Six free counseling sessions per issue, per year, face-to-face or virtual, for every household member
- Evening and weekend appointment times available
- Confidential support for stress, depression, anxiety, relationship strain, and more

If you’d rather text than talk
Talkspace connects you with a licensed counselor by message or live video, on your own schedule, from your phone or laptop. Visit talkspace.com/carelonwellbeing and enter LSC Communications to get started. Dependents must be 13 or older to schedule their own session.
Support right now and ongoing
When you need to talk to someone right now
Teladoc Health’s Virtual Behavioral Specialists are licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners available by video 24/7/365 for employees enrolled in an LSC Medical Plan. It’s one of the fastest, most affordable ways to get support — visits cost a flat $10 across every LSC Medical Plan (that $10 applies toward your deductible if you’re in HSA Core or HSA Value).
These specialists are specifically equipped to help with:
- Anxiety, stress, depression, and mood disorders
- Trauma and PTSD
- Substance use concerns
- Grief, relationship or family difficulties, and life-transition challenges
- Sleep issues and negative thought patterns
They can also refer you to community-based specialists for ongoing care if that’s the right next step. Register at teladoc.com/Primary360.com or call 800-835-2362 (Teladoc).

Ongoing or in-person care
If you need a longer-term relationship with a provider, or in-person care, your LSC Medical Plan includes behavioral health coverage through the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois network.
You also have access to BCBS Health Advocacy Solutions, which provides personalized support to help you find providers, understand your benefits, and navigate care with confidence.
Call them at 888-895-695 search for an in-network behavioral health provider directly at bcbsil.com/find-care.
Quit for you — free support, no judgement
Tobacco use often goes hand-in-hand with stress, anxiety, and other mental health or substance use challenges. The tobacco cessation program, administered by Carelon Wellbeing, offers free coaching, interactive online tools, and peer support to help you or your covered dependents (age 18+) quit tobacco for good — no cost, no judgment. Call 877-409-1488, available 24/7, to get started.

Self-guided tools and everyday coping
Not every hard week needs a scheduled session. The EAP’s online portal includes self-guided digital tools based on cognitive behavioral therapy for managing stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, panic, and sleep issues, available any time.
- Deep breathing and grounding techniques
- Journaling prompts to process what happened and how you reacted
- Guidance on nutrition, movement, and sleep as stress management tools
If stress keeps building despite these steps, that’s exactly when it’s time to loop in your doctor, the EAP, or a Teladoc Behavioral Specialist — none of this is meant to replace professional support.
