Resources that make cents

Build today, retire tomorrow
It’s never too late to build up the LSC 401(k) Savings Plan through Empower Retirement.
- Company match: 50% of the first 6% of pay you contribute — free money if you’re not already capturing it
- Auto-enrollment: 3% of pay automatically unless you opt out or set your own percentage
- Vesting: fully vested in the Company match after one year
- Savings options: mix traditional pre-tax, Roth, after-tax, and catch-up contributions (age 55+)
Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Managing health and family expenses can be stressful, but your tax‑advantaged accounts help reduce that financial pressure.
HSA
If you’re enrolled in the HSA Core or HSA Value medical plan, you can take advantage of triple‑tax savings through an HSA. The Company contributes to your HSA too — extra dollars in your pocket at no cost to you. Your 2027 combined limit, including the company contribution, is:
- $4,500 for employee‑only coverage
- $9,000 for other coverage levels
- Plus a $1,000 catch‑up if you’re 55 or older.
Full‑Use Health Care FSA
If you’re not enrolled in an HSA medical plan, you can use an HCFSA to set aside up to $3,400 in pre‑tax dollars for predictable health care expenses.
Limited‑Use FSA
If you’re enrolled in an HSA medical plan, you can contribute up to $3,400 for dental and vision expenses. After you meet your deductible, you can also use these funds for medical costs.
Dependent Care FSA
You can also lower your family care expenses with a Dependent Care FSA, allowing up to:
- $7,500 for individuals or married couples filing joint tax returns
- $3,750 if you are married and file separate tax returns

Supplemental benefits
If you elected Accident Insurance, Critical Illness, or Hospital Indemnity coverage, remember to file a claim to receive your cash benefit — a direct payment on top of your medical coverage to help absorb an unexpected cost.
You can also earn $50 per supplemental plan you’re enrolled in — up to $150 per covered person — for completing a health screening.
