Don’t let the cost of a hospital visit weigh you down. Offered through MetLife, this plan is a supplement, not a replacement, to your medical coverage and is completely portable so you can take it with you if you leave the Company.
How it works
The plan pays a cash payment to you when an eligible accident or sickness puts you or a covered family member in the hospital:
- $500 for a hospital admission
- $250 per day for up to 31 days for a hospital stay
- $100 per day for up to 15 days for inpatient rehabilitation
- $100 per day for up to 2 days for newborn nursery care
The benefit is paid directly to you all at once to use for any purpose, such as paying out-of-pocket medical expenses, copays, deductibles, groceries, gas, utilities, and more. See the full list of hospital indemnity benefits here.
This benefit is not health insurance and does not satisfy the requirement of minimum essential coverage under the Affordable Care Act.
